Baptism is the first Sacrament of Initiation into the Church.  It makes us a child of God and sharer in God’s Divine life.

Baptism seals the Christian with the indelible spiritual mark … of his belonging to Christ.

— The Catechism of the Catholic Church #1272

The Sacrament of Baptism for infants and children under the age of 7 is offered on the first and third weekends of each month (except during Lent and Advent) at the Sunday, 12:00 pm Mass.

A preparation class is required if you have not taken one recently.  The class is offered via Zoom and may be completed prior to the birth of your child. If you are interested in more information about the Sacrament of Baptism for your infant, please email Lisa Harrison or call (248) 689-8380, ext. 109.

For the baptisms of children in Grades 1 through 8, please call Maryann in the Religious Education Office at extension 111 or email Maryann to make arrangements for the Children’s Catechumenate Program. This program will vary depending on the age and faith development of the child.
