Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Preschool age)
Coordinator: Abby Avery
This class (in English) has moved from Wednesdays to Sundays!
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a faith formation program based on the Montessori method of teaching. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is founded on the belief that children already have a relationship with God and are eager to learn about Him. The program is for preschool-age kids in our “atrium,” which is a room specifically designed and only used for CGS. We are equipped with Level 1 Atrium only.
The program is amazing because it is so interactive and leaves room for the natural creativity and joy of kids. Some of the manipulatives in the atrium used to teach about the faith include maps of the Holy Land, priest vestments, a liturgical calendar “puzzle,” and a mini tabernacle and altar.
Classes occur weekly in-person beginning September 18 – and will be in-person every (most) week(s) through April. Sundays 9:45 – 11:15AM (during the 10AM Mass) (also in Spanish on Saturdays 10 – 11:30AM). Limited space available.
