Adoration

Image - Adoration pageThe Eucharist is the source and summit of the Church’s life and ministry. Because, as Catholics, we believe that Christ is truly and substantially present in the Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament is given the same adoration and devotion that is accorded to Christ. Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ.

Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction

Exposition of the Eucharist is offered in the chapel  as follows:

  • each Monday immediately following the 9:30 am Mass with Benediction taking place that evening at 8 pm.
  • each Wednesday immediately following the 9:30 am Mass. Benediction takes place on Thursday at 6:45 a.m.
  • beginning on the first Friday of each month following the 9:30 a,m, Mass and continuing until Benediction on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. First Friday Devotions are offered at the start of Exposition.
  • First Saturday Devotions are offered at 7:30 a.m. There is a Children’s Hour of Adoration on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The Rosary, using the Companion Book, will be prayed at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Please note that if the 1st weekend is a holiday weekend, Adoration will be moved to the following weekend.

If you wish to commit to a standing time to spend an hour in the chapel, a sign up board is available in the hallway outside the chapel or you may contact Dominic Bologna at (586) 731-8192 or E-Mail.

If you are unable to commit to a standing time, please feel free to spend time with the Lord at your convenience.
