Support Deployed Troops

This year, St. Anastasia will be collecting items for our deployed military overseas.  This is the 8th year that this organization is collecting gift items to ship. Last year, they shipped 139 boxes, each weighing 40 pounds, to 11 military units in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, South Africa, Korea, Cuba and the military hospital in Germany.

We are asking for toothbrushes, dental floss, chap stick, Q-Tips, band aides, razors & shaving cream, individually wrapped hard candy and snack pack size trail mix.

Also, “typed letters or handwritten greeting cards from you to an American Hero is sure to light-up their face with a smile.  We would be happy to include your cards and letters with your gifts from home.  If you include your return address or email address on your mail or gift, you may receive a note of thanks from our troops and enjoy a new American friendship!”

We will start collecting for the first two weeks of Lent until March 18th.  Please drop off your items to the front office or the gathering space basket by the Ushers room.  Please contact Florence Parent with any questions.
