Catholic Services Appeal is a yearly fund-raising activity conducted across the United States. It provides funding for a myriad of ministries that reach out to people of all denominations and ethnic origins. Each parish in the Archdiocese of Detroit is assigned a goal or assessment by the Archdiocese based on parish size, geographic location, past tithing history, and anticipated future conditions within the parish boundaries. This appeal is then made direct to the parishioners who have a choice on method of payment, i.e. lump sum, quarterly, monthly, etc.
