HDTV for SeniorsOn
Feb. 17 all TV broadcasting will be in High Definition. Catholic Social Services of Oakland County will
provide and install an HD converter for senior citizens who do not have cable TV, satellite TV or an HD TV set.
If you have any questions, or if you know a senior citizen who needs assistance in their home, please contact Pat Hoffman
at 248.559.1147 ext. 3427. And You Can Help
These converters cost $40-$60, but every
household is entitled to two $40 government coupons which reduce the cost of these converters. If your
household doesn’t need the coupons, you can still collect your coupons and donate them to this program.
Go to www.DTV2009.gov . The deadline to apply is March 31, 2009, so put this on your “to
do” list today! If you do not need one or both coupons, please mail them to CSSOC’s RSVP Program
(attn: Pat Hoffman) at 18310 W. 12 Mile Rd., Southfield, MI 48076.
