St. Anastasia Celebrates
40th Anniversary in 2008

The faith community of St.Anastasia celebrates its 40th Jubiliee this year.  Many events have been planned around this joyous occasion.  We ask you to check this page regularly for all the events and updates.

Mark Your Calendar:  Sunday, June 29, 2008.  A special liturgy is being planned for the 12:15 Mass followed by a parish picnic.  Spread the word, invite your family and friends who have moved away -- everyone is invited.

St. Anastasia 40th Anniversary Parish Picnic

In the style of Fr. Davidson, our Founding Pastor, the St. Anastasia Parish Family is planning an old fashioned Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 29, 2008 from 2 pm to 6 pm to celebrate the day our parish was founded. This picnic is open to everyone. Feel free to invite your family, friends and past parishioners that you are in contact with to join us for this day of celebration. We will have food, games for all ages, clowns, entertainment, music and much more.

We accepted the chairperson role and then were told there is no budget for the picnic. We took that news in stride and drew on our past experiences and creativity and came up with a budget that allows everyone to come to the event for free. We have arranged for food vendors to be on site at reasonable costs and called in a few favors. But we still need some help to sponsor a few of the items we are planning.  If you or your company can sponsor one of the items   below it would guarantee that this picnic is held with no financial consequences to the Parish.  Friends or families can join together to cover a sponsorship or if you would just like to make a donation it would be greatly appreciated!

CHILDREN GAMES AND PRIZES            Three $100 Sponsorships    Sponsor one of the five children’s games to captivate and entertain the Parish children.

ICE CREAM CART                    One $500 Sponsorship   Sponsor one of the two attractive push carts with colorful umbrellas. Six varieties of ice cream have been selected.

INFLATABLE GAMES              $500

Moonwalk, 55-Foot Obstacle Course, and Basketball Challenge.

 GYM ACTIVITES                       $200

Provide prizes for the teen and young adult competitions.

 SHOWMOBILE                          $500

Complete mobile performance center to showcase the afternoon’s entertainment.

 COMMITTEE T-SHIRTS       $250

To be able to identify the Committee on the grounds if you need assistance.

As a sponsor you will receive recognition in the Parish Bulletin, your name on a banner at the picnic and signage at the event.  All donations will be recognized.  If you would like to be a sponsor please contact Tom 248-866-6093, Cheryl 248-866-3661 or Rebecca or Holly at the Parish Offices 248-689-8380.
