Preschool and Kindergarten meet on Tuesday afternoons, from 4:45-6:00 beginning October 4, 2011. For this first session, we invite the parents to accompany their children to class to meet their catechists, see the classroom, and attend a brief prayer service!

The Preschool – Third grade program at St. Anastasia is also known as the “G.I.F.T. Program”, where we Grow In Faith Together! The children are invited to begin their faith in a safe and welcoming environment. Our preschoolers and kindergarteners are also invited to participate in service project opportunities, as they begin their journey as followers of Jesus Christ!
Parents are contributors to the success of this program! Please consider participating by being an aide in the classroom, babysitting for our catechists children, being a hall monitor, or perhaps helping to prepare materials for the classroom! If you feel called to be a catechist in your child’s classroom, please feel free to contact me!
Preschool
At St. Anastasia we use the Stories of God’s Love curriculum by RCL Benziger. The focus of the program is Jesus Christ, the Revelation of God’s love. The children will learn that through Jesus, God always loves them! Jesus, God’s own Son, invites them to be his friends and live in friendship with Him, and with others! The children will discover that they are members of the family of the Church! They will give thanks and praise to God the for gift of His Love!
Kindergarten
We use the Faith First curriculum also by RCL Benziger for kindergarten. Our focus is to use the children’s experiences and interests as a foundation for faith development. The children will learn that God created everything out of love, and to love themselves and others, because God made them! We help them to discover God’s love in their everyday life, and celebrate their faith!
