This class helps children of catechetical age to prepare for the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, or Eucharist.
This class is intended for children between the ages of 7 and 13:
- Who have not been baptized
- Who were baptized in another Christian denomination and would like to join the Catholic Church
- Who were baptized Catholic but have not received any religious education.
• Note: The Children’s Catechumenate does not replace regular religious education classes. If your child was baptized Catholic, is in the second or third grade, but has not yet had religious education, he/she will be placed in another class. Please call the Religious Education Office 248.689.8380, ext. 111 for more information.
Classes meet on Tuesdays at the same time as RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults).
